FAQs
BEFORE BOOKING YOUR PHOTO SESSION:
- Why are there 2 kinds of packages (A and B)?
- I have found that I have had 2 kinds of clients- one that wants only want a few photos and the other one that wants all the photos. I made these 2 packages to cater to those 2 different kinds of people. I found myself wanting to give clients 100+ photos and spending lots of time editing, even if the client only wanted a few. Choosing package B acknowledges that you only want a few photos, but if you like more of the photos that I edited, you can still purchase them later too (but pay per image).
- I am looking into doing something different from what is listed in your package list. Is it possible to create my own package?
- Please contact me if you have any specific requests and I can try to tailor a package for you!
- What locations do you shoot at?
- All kinds! And all over Tokyo and Japan; Once a deposit is received then I do a consultation with you to discuss what location(s) fit your desires and your personality. There is somewhere beautiful to shoot all year around here in Tokyo and Japan!
- Can you travel outside of Tokyo for my shoot?
- Yes, I can travel further with an additional fee to cover transport and extra travel time.

AFTER YOUR BOOKING HAS BEEN MADE/ BEFORE YOUR SHOOT
- When should I arrive to my photoshoot?
- Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before your shoot start time so we can meet each other, get acquainted, and talk about photoshoot goals!
- What if I’m late for the photoshoot?
- I usually ask clients to meet 10 minutes before the official shooting time. This is so we can have a few minutes to discuss photo session goals and it also serves as a small cushion for being a little late. As I often have other commitments on one day, I do rely on a reasonably prompt starting time for the sessions. If the client is late, unfortunately the time is taken away from the shooting time, and a fee is added for extra time needed ($25 for every 15 minutes; $50 for every half hour). So please be on time ^_^.
- What if it’s raining the day of my shoot?
- Usually we see what is happening on the day, as often the weather changes unexpectedly in Tokyo. In the case of light rain, we will try to change the location to more of a sheltered spot, and in the case of unstoppable torrential rain we will reschedule for another day.
- Who is responsible to pay for entrance fees?
- If the location you want your photos at have an entrance fee, you are required to pay it for yourselves as well as for the photographer. Most gardens cost about 200- 400 yen.
- What if I want the photoshoot to last longer?
- This may be possible, depending on my schedule. It is at a rate of $50 extra her half hour.
- What should I wear?
- The #1 thing I like to tell my clients is to wear something that you feel CONFIDENT in. Here are the rest of my tips:
- 1. Clothing is not everything when it comes to a photo session… but it can definitely add something to it too! So do take some time to think about it and prepare.
- 2. If there is more than 1 person in the shoot, consider what you will all be wearing as a set.
- 3. Think about the location of the shoot and the season it will be. This may help you with choosing color schemes and themes.
- 4. If in doubt, please feel free to ask me if you need specific advice. I love choosing outfits!
- What should we bring?
- I recommend that you bring as little as possible, because I often photograph my clients as they walk from one location to another, to get some of those candid shots. Sometimes there are lockers where you can drop things off at so you can leave it there too. If you have to bring an extra bag or two, please choose something that you wouldn’t mind being in the photos. ^_^
- Do you offer hair and make up services?
- Unfortunately no, but I can recommend a few people who can do hair and makeup after a booking with me is made.

- Do you give RAW files?
- No, just high resolution JPEG

Thanks for your understanding.
